We recognize that all our patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice.
We are pleased to welcome you and your family, and we look forward to working with you.
I love working with patients: helping them achieve greater oral and systemic health by finding the right solutions that will work for them, and acknowledging the improvements when they implement changes. I enjoy spending my days working one-to-one with my patients. Each person has their own needs and concerns, so I spend time talking with and listening to them. The best part of working here is that we’re like a family. While we take dentistry seriously, we enjoy working together and it shows.
My husband, daughter, and I enjoy going on local hikes, though I may have to drag them now and again. We are also avid campers, especially to the Columbia River in Eastern Washington. I enjoy scrapbooking, and have recently become an avid cook.
I’m in charge of a little bit of everything — whatever is needed to keep the office running smoothly. That includes helping the front desk, marketing, accounts receivable and payable, and payroll. I love getting to know the patients and their families. My main focus is making sure each day runs smoothly, which enables the staff to provide the best care experience for our patients. I always keep an eye out for new ways we can better meet our patients’ needs and make their experience in our office the best ever.
I have been married for more than 35 years to my high-school sweetheart and have two adult children, two dogs, and three parrots. I have recently become a first-time grandma to the sweetest little boy. My husband and I are both enjoying our new role as grandparents. I also love spending time with family, reading a good book, and being outside in the sunshine whenever it appears.
I enjoy meeting new people. I learn from each person, and love making sure they are happy and comfortable during their visits. No matter what their needs, I’m here to help them. I provide chairside assistance to Dr. Houpt during dental procedures, to support the patient and keep them updated on what’s happening. I also sterilize our tools and equipment. My most important task, though, is to make sure a patient is smiling and happy with the care they receive.
My life revolves around my wonderful son and daughter, both of whom are active in many extracurricular activities. I love supporting their various passions and cheering them on. I also enjoy all that nature offers and love to hike, camp, and explore the outdoors.
Dental Assistant and Front Office
I feel so lucky because I work in both our front office and our clinic area, which makes each day different and exciting. I enjoy welcoming patients as they arrive, assisting during procedures, and concentrating on our patients’ comfort and happiness. The conversations I have with our patients are the highlights of my days. I enjoy hearing what’s happening in their lives and about their plans, too.
I’ve been married for more than 40 years to the same wonderful man. I have two adult children and one stepdaughter, and eight wonderful grandkids who all keep us very busy. I love spending time with my family, camping, reading, and going for rides on our motorcycle.
Welcome! I'm delighted to be a part of Dr. Houpt’s team and to help you with your dental needs. He has amazing energy and a genuine passion for dentistry. It is my pleasure to help patients by scheduling appointments, coordinating treatment plans, and assisting with the financial aspect of their dental care. I believe in an open-heart and open-mind philosophy, and you can rest assured that I apply that philosophy to all aspects of my job. Our team laughs together and keeps a light and easy-spirited atmosphere.
My cup is always half full if not overflowing. My husband Jimmy and I have been married for more than 35 years. We still have stars in our eyes for each other. We have two young adult children, JaimePaige and Michael. We enjoy watching them choose their paths of adventure into the real world. I am an avid reader and I take joy in long walks on the beach. Also, my favorite color (at least for today) is crystal ocean blue.
I love working with my patients. The friendships that have formed over the years are precious and heartfelt. I am excited to meet new patients as I know we will become friends, too. While I provide thorough and very gentle hygiene care, I particularly enjoy educating patients. I know if a person understands the why and how of what I teach them, and the importance of oral health, then we both end up winners. When I see a clean and bright smile at a recall visit, I’m thrilled!
When not working, I love being active, whether that’s indoors or out. Hiking, paddle-boarding, running, and fun at the lake, as well as BBQs, are all enjoyed. I have a daughter who will be attending college in the fall of 2018, which leaves me as an empty nester. However, I have been blessed with three companions: Ryker and Sampson, my pups, and Maklemore, our cat. Coming home to these three always warms my heart and fills my soul.
I’ve spent more than two decades working in dentistry; I was very excited to bring my years of experience to Dr. Houpt’s office in 2016. We work together during patients’ dental procedures, where my focus is on providing the very best in patient care. I love the relationships I’ve built with our patients and being a part of them achieving the best dental care possible.
I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for almost a decade. We have a beautiful young daughter together, and between us, two stepkids. We also have three dogs and a cat. I love sports, camping, fishing, hiking, anything outdoors, and spending time with my family. Our family is complete with one granddaughter and another grandbaby on the way!
